Embracing Animals for a Better Tomorrow How animals Teach Compassion, Build Confidence and Help Us Thrive!
Day to day life is chaotic. Our youth are under more pressures now than ever before. Finding words to express this weariness or good coping mechanisms for frustration and loneliness can be insurmountable. With technology, win / lose sports and peer pressure the peaceful companionship of animals is needed more now then ever before. Animals offer companionship, teach empathy and respect for life. There are few places you can go practice these skills or to receive the physical contact and security an animal offers. Learning to communicate without word and then letting negativity evaporate is so important.
In this book I share observations and experience of seeing animas transform lives. Through stories of resilience, companionship and finding their peers, I hope to inspire parents, educators and animals welfare professionals to help connect animals with others to build a better tomorrow.
It's about the animals, and rescuing our youth.

Anchored in Hope
This was my first journey into a published work. As a collaborative, I was one of ten authors writing about a time when holding onto something brought us hope for the long haul.
Dealing with Alzheimer's in a loved one is a near impossible challenge . I found my father's sense of humor to be an anchor in navigating the trials with my mother. What we rely on, all the planning, all the research; all the things that have made us successful are ineffective with a disease that has no "normal" and no road map. Everyone develops differently. There are lessons to be learned in the unpredictability of this disease and humor as a coping mechanism is often overlooked.
